The service fee covers payment processing, in-app messaging and scheduling, identity verification, handoff checklists, dispute resolution support, and platform maintenance. It's calculated as a percentage of the monthly storage rent.
Can I switch plans at any time?
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade your membership at any point. Changes take effect on your next billing cycle. There are no cancellation penalties.
How does the optional coverage add-on work?
For 5% of your monthly rent, the coverage add-on may help with certain losses or damage during your booking period. Details on what's covered and what's not are shown before checkout.
When do hosts get paid?
Hosts receive payouts after each successful monthly charge. Standard payouts arrive in 3-5 business days. Host Pro members can opt for instant payouts at a 1.5% fee.
Is there a deposit?
Yes, a refundable deposit is held at booking time. The amount is set by the host and shown upfront. It's reviewed and returned during checkout when you end your booking.
What if I need storage for less than a month?
BlockVault bills monthly, but you can cancel at any time. If you need just a few weeks, book for one month and schedule pickup whenever you're ready.
